POLYMAT is a research institution linked to the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and internationally recognized in the field of polymer science (www.polymat.eu). It is a multidisciplinary research center which includes more than 180 researchers working in different research areas such as polymer synthesis, polymer processing, rheology, polymers for electronics, energy storage and biomedical applications. The staff have access to state-of-the art equipment to perform use-inspired fundamental research in polymers enabling to address some of the technological needs of the 21st Century in energy, health and sustainability. In 2017 the center received HR Excellence Award by the European Commission.
POLYMAT/ UPV/EHU is the leader of the Work Package 2 that is devoted to the development of high performance flexible in situ hybrid solid electrolytes based on EU compatible materials (not critical) with stability in dry room and scale up easiness.
